A second-generation hairdresser and Tucson native, Thomas founded and established Gloss Studio in 2008, alongside his wife Suzi, after 27 years working with his father Josef and brother Michael at Chez Josef salon.

After a 42-year career in the beauty business, Thomas retired from styling at the end of May 2024. He now owns and manages Gloss Studio, taking great pride in keeping the salon a warm, inviting place for guests and in developing new talent for the industry.

Debra’s top priority is to make every guest’s visit relaxing and enjoyable, and Gloss Studio is the perfect setting for it. She believes communication is the key to your hair happiness, so she consults with you every visit to assess your hair and recommend solutions.

Alongside cuts and styles for men, women and children, Debra offers color to enhance your cut and blend gray, from highlights and lowlights to color placement for effect. She specializes in texture services, including the Flashwave for added volume or soft waves and curls, plus customized conditioning treatments and facial waxing.

Debra is also an educator for Eufora International, a haircare company built on botanical technology and the healing benefits of certified organic aloe vera, with lines for curly, smooth, fine and thinning hair. Available Tuesday through Saturday.

David has been in the hair styling industry for more than 25 years, working and training with some of the best salons and names in the business. He has also been an educator, mentor and salon owner, with experience running and taking part in photo shoots and fashion shows.

David greatly enjoys his work and truly loves his clients. He considers it a blessing and an honor to serve in the professional hair styling industry.

Kirstin is a Tucson native who has been in the beauty industry for over 14 years. As an artist, she loves being inspired by the Gloss Studio family while she creates custom color and styles for her guests. She believes the most important part of the visit is the consultation, so she can help your hair ideas become reality.

Her specialty is haircolor, with favorite techniques spanning color correction, gray blending, blondes and rich fantasy colors. She also tailors haircuts to each guest’s face shape and lifestyle, and can transform dull or frizzy hair with a Brazilian Blowout smoothing service, plus body waves and perms.

When she isn’t behind the chair, Kirstin is with her husband and two children, traveling, painting, or lifting weights at her favorite gym.

Annie Scuro has been in the industry for nearly 20 years. She joined the Gloss team in 2018 and considers it her home away from home. Annie specializes in trending styles and colors, especially gray-blending solutions, and will help you decide whether to cover, blend or embrace your gray.

Countless reviews note that even when she gives a client a huge transformation, her work still looks natural on them. Annie loves making you feel comfortable and finding the right styles, solutions and appointment frequency for your lifestyle.

A fresh face in the hair and makeup industry, Cheyenne brings a new perspective and a contagious enthusiasm for all things beauty. With a dedication to continuous learning and honing her craft, she gives clients personalized experiences that leave them feeling confident and beautiful.

Marisa is a passionate hairstylist and makeup artist with seven years of experience in the beauty industry. Having honed her skills over the years, she is eagerly diving back into working with fun colors and creative techniques.

Now an independent contractor, Marisa curates personalized experiences for her clients, focused on making people feel beautiful inside and out. She’s excited to keep growing her business and creating stunning transformations.

Born and raised in Tucson, Nicole is a true native of the city with over 14 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, and many memories of growing up in a salon.

Nicole’s greatest joy is making her clients feel beautiful, but what she cherishes most are the relationships she builds along the way.
